Marketing Strategy

Marketing Strategy

What problems will your business solve and why is your solution better than the competition’s? This is the main question a marketing strategy will answer as it shapes objectives and actions to meet business goals. Without a strategy in place, efforts to increase or generate revenue often become disjointed, difficult to measure and wasteful of precious resources; time and money. Unfortunately, most small businesses do not have a marketing strategy, although it significantly increases the probability of success.

Objectives & Key Results

Once your marketing strategy is in place, Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) can be defined to meet company goals. Originating in Silicon Valley, OKRs are widely used beyond digital companies to clearly communicate priorities. Each OKR has two essential parts, the Objective and the Key Result. Objectives are qualitative, inspirational, memorable and short. They provide a focused challenge for the business. Key Results are quantitative and measure the progress towards achieving the objective. Following is an example of an OKR.
